Cooking has always been one of my greatest passions. Nothing beats the satisfaction I get from preparing food for my family and friends, be it a simple salad or an elaborate spread of home cooked meals. The compliments and appreciation i get from people who feasted on the food I prepared are more than enough to make me forget the hours spent in the kitchen chopping, simmering and roasting. There is joy in cooking.
I never had formal education in cooking. I got most of my skills from cooking shows on TV, recipe books, and more recently, the internet. Martha Stewart, Mario Batali and Ina Garten are just some of my “mentors”. I am dreaming of becoming a successful chef someday, establish my own restaurant and write my own cookbooks. But I still need to learn a lot about professional cooking and food preparation. Enrolling in a culinary school is not an option at this point as it is very expensive. I'll stick to cooking shows and cookbooks for now.
While i wait for my dream to come into fruition, I will be posting blogs at www.payperpost.com. Who knows, maybe one day I will have enough PayPerPost earnings and afford to sign up for a cooking class. That would be the day.
